Welcome

When should I consider a brow lift?
  • Low or sagging brow
  • Furrowed lines above the nose (in between the eyebrows)
  • Lines across the forehead, frownlines, and crows feet
  • Overhanging skin in the upper eyelids
Anticipated Results:
  • A more refreshed, youthful appearance
  • A more rested appearance to the forehead and eyelids

The browlift procedure lifts the forehead, eyebrows, and skin around the eyes to give a more rested, alert, youthful appearance.  The browlift procedure will not only define the eyelid crease but it will also remove facial wrinkles in the crow's feet and frown areas between the brows.  It also improves the "heaviness or tired look."  The incision is well concealed either at or within the hairline. Most often, a coronal incision is made in the scalp area and a hairline incision is made directly above the hairline.  A temporal incision or endoscopic approach can also be performed depending on the patient's needs.  The forehead skin is then gently raised so that the underlying tissues can be readjusted or removed, the eyebrows can be raised, and the muscles of the forehead can be released. Botox, a popular treatment for improving the facial lines, in most cases will no longer be needed, since the browlift procedure offers a more permanent result.

     Browlift Examples:

Patient 1 had a coronal browlift.  The first picture is demonstrating the patient frowning before and after surgery.  During surgery, the corrugator muscles (which cause frownlines) are removed, hence the patient is no longer able to make frownlines after surgery.  Therefore, there is no further need for Botox injections.  The patient pictured below is before and 8 weeks after surgery.

Patient 2 had a coronal browlift and upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty). By lifting the brows, it improves the heaviness to the eyes and emphasizes the patient's bright, beautiful eyes.  The patient pictured below is before and 6 weeks after surgery.

Patient 3 had a hairline browlift and a lower lid eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty).  The patient is showing her hairline incision at 6 weeks after surgery.  The browlift procedure has improved the forehead, frown, and crows feet lines and wrinkles and improved the overhanging skin from the upper lid.  The patient is pictured below and 6 weeks after surgery.
