The previous decision for Breast Augmentation patients in Indianapolis, IN, regarding whether to have silicone or saline breast implants may no longer be relevant. Indianapolis Plastic Surgery patients and others across the country may choose a combination silicone and saline implant in the future.

The clinical trials for this implant will begin this spring. Dr. Kimberly Short and 29 plastic surgeons across the United States met in January 2009 to review the update on these breast implants. The potential benefits of the implant include more central projection for patients who desire a larger size and adjustability for patients with asymmetric breasts or patients unsure of the breast enlargement they want to achieve.
